I make thingswith AI, and Iteach the rest.

I run Talentless AI, an AI-native production studio in Austin. I have directed AI films, built a microdrama slate, and helped brands and productions work out what is real in all of this. I also talk about it on stages, on television in two hemispheres, and to anyone who asks. The whole philosophy fits in two words: Create Now.

The bit that unsettles people

Is that real Steve, or AI Steve?

There is a version of me that is entirely synthetic, and he has his own playlist. Fifty-one videos of him explaining AI, reacting to AI, and occasionally saying things I would not. Audiences laugh, and then the room goes quiet, because everyone works out what it means for their own industry at about the same moment.

I make him in the open on purpose. Anyone selling you on synthetic media should be willing to show you the seams.

Speaking

The AI talk without the hype hangover.

Keynotes and sessions from someone who ships with these tools every day, so the promise, the limits, and the parts that are still genuinely broken all show up in the same talk. Audiences leave with something to do on Monday.

Signature keynote: Creativity in the Age of AI, built on the Create Now mindset. Winner of the 2026 AI Leadership Award from the Austin AI Alliance. AI Expert for Propolis, the global community for B2B marketers. Resident expert and frequent keynote for Ragan Communications.

Before AI was a headline

The receipts.

I wrote, produced, and directed the feature film Seclusion. I worked the IBM Watson era at Ogilvy, back when "cognitive computing" was the phrase everyone was pretending to understand. I led global messaging and content for NetApp. Now I run a studio in Austin and sit in the middle of a regional AI ecosystem that connects researchers, policymakers, and the creative community.

The AI-native work has pulled over ten million views across platforms, which is the only proof I trust that any of this resonates outside the room it was made in. Theory is somebody else's department.

The newsletter

Talentless Genius.

I am a writer before I am anything else, so there is a Substack. It is about the creative future of AI, written from inside the work rather than from the sidelines. Hundreds of subscribers, running a year now.

I host AIAF.

A podcast about AI meeting human imagination. Every other AI show runs the same loop: prompt this, automate that, ten tools to save an hour. AIAF has no fixed set, no theme, and no predictable format, and it reinvents itself every episode. I talk to people using AI to rewrite culture rather than optimize their calendars.
